Mission

The mission of the Disability Services Office is to ensure that students with disabilites have equal access to all university programs and activities and to help foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment by promoting disability awareness.

We are committed to developing a community in which people with disabilities not only have equal access to programs and services, but also one in which they flourish. These individuals will be challenged to be independent, responsible problem-solvers and self-advocates in charge of their own lives. We envision a campus community where all individuals are seen as valued contributors to society. Respect for all encompasses everything we do.

 

Goals

The goals of the Disability Services Office are to:

• Coordinate academic accommodations and support services,
• Provide information and referral to appropriate resources,
• Promote disability awareness among all members of the university community.
